Spring Clean
There’s nothing better than a good spring clean, to clear the clutter, tidy up and generally get everything back in order. That’s exactly what I have been doing today.
Thankfully it’s not the house or garage that I have had to tackle, but the stripykat database. I have a wonderful database that lists every item I have made for stripykat, the costs involved, the fabric used, where the product is and the selling price. I have been really rather lax recently and the database has needed abit of updating.
It has taken me pretty much all day and thankfully it’s now all up-to-date and it’s an excellent way of looking at what sells where. Like everything, it’s only as good as what you put in to it so I am definitely going to keep the database updated from now on!
It also highlighted how many items I have designed and made. It is currently standing at over 500 items and the Tarty Kindle case was the 500th item.

I have been busy making more Kindle cases that fit the smaller Kindles without the keyboard like a glove.

Manipulation
I just did an update on Picasa and found these great new features.
I popped in to the garden in to the Spring sunshine and came up with these
New Kindle case
The Flower Power Kindle case arrives at stripykat. The case is made from fabric designed by Alexander Henry and is lovely thick cotton. The bright colours are so cheery and the red lining and top stitching just finishes it off.

Each Kindle case from stripykat has soft cotton lining, 4 layers of interlining that’s the stuff that keeps your Kindle out of harms way and it makes the case nice and soft. Fuel for sewing
With this unexpected but very excellent weather we have been having the last few days I needed a little sustenance to cool me down and also to keep me going as I am making lots of lovely new Kindle cases for stripykat.
